And what happened? The Celtics lost a 20-point lead and fell by a single point, 90–91.
Now Pierce is a man who stands by his word.
When the sun rose on Thursday, he began his approximately 3.2-mile walk, wisely wearing shoes on his feet, though.
During the walk, Pierce provided updates on social media, where he stated that he couldn't "understand how the Celtics let him down" in this situation.
