Earlier this year, Kane made history when he set a new record for U.S.-born players with 1,375 NHL points.

After his two goals in tonight's game, both in the second period, Kane has now scored a total of 504 NHL goals.

The record for goals is held by Mike Modano with 561. He played 20 years in the league for the Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars and finished in Detroit. Second and third on the list are Keith Tkachuk and Jeremy Roenick with 538 and 513 goals, respectively.
