The party leaders accused each other of lying and of being unserious when they were to debate integration in SVT. The program leaders had to appeal for calm.

The Moderate Party leader Magdalena Andersson accused The Sweden Democrats leader Jimmie Åkesson of lying about the Social Democrats' integration policy by claiming that The Social Democrats want to forcibly mix the population and bus school children to segregated areas.

He is completely untrustworthy, she said.

It is Magdalena Andersson who is untrustworthy, Åkesson retorted.

The Christian Democrats leader Ebba Busch stated that the big struggle is about which values should apply in Sweden and brought up her latest proposal to ban the burqa in public places.

Then Nooshi Dadgostar stands there and mocks that Ebba is also against wearing jeans in the Riksdag, said Busch and tried to imitate the Left Party leader's voice.

Dadgostar claimed that The Christian Democrats six months ago put forward a proposal to restrict abortion rights, which affects many women.

Busch accused Dadgostar of lying.

I am not lying, it is you who is lying, said the Left Party leader.

The program hosts felt forced to intervene.

Please let us go back to the questions

The debate began with SVT asking which parties, for the sake of integration, want to invest in building cheap rental apartments in villa areas. The Moderate Party, The Sweden Democrats and The Liberals answered no. The Centre Party, The Christian Democrats and The Social Democrats abstained, while The Left Party and The Green Party answered yes.

– I think it became really ridiculous, said Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson about the debate afterwards.

Mostly Nooshi Dadgostar. It sounded like any Palestine demonstration. I do not think it is dignified.
