The two YouTube stars, known from the comedy group JLC, started a company to manage properties.
But when a newly purchased house in Mölndal was to be renovated, the craftsmen suddenly found a large number of gold and platinum bars – worth around 13 million kronor.
A number of parties have claimed the find, which was made in October 2023.
In addition to the JLC duo and the craftsmen, the seller and an estate also considered themselves entitled to the precious metal – a total of 100 gold bars and 40 platinum bars.
The craftsmen withdrew from the dispute when the parties met for mediation recently. The other parties have now agreed to a settlement that means that Carl Déman and Lucas Simonsson will receive half and the estate – which also includes the seller – will receive the other half.
If the Gothenburg District Court approves the agreement, the next step, according to GP, will be for the Police Authority to decide whether and to whom the ewes should be released.
However, there is also a fifth party – who was not involved in the current negotiations. This is a group of pensioners who claim that the gold bars may stem from an embezzlement scandal in the 1990s.
