Club team World Championship offered its first upset when newly crowned Champions League champions Paris Saint-Germain lost to Brazilian Botafogo in Los Angeles with 0–1.
The French top club is one of the favorites to win the tournament and started by defeating Atlético Madrid with 4–0. Now it came to a stop.
Botafogo, who last year won Copa Libertadores for the first time in the club's history, counterattacked the match's only goal.
