In a long post on Instagram, Paris Hilton describes how heartbroken she is after her home in Malibu, where she lives with her husband and children, London and Phoenix, burned down.

"Sitting with my family and watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn down to the ground on live TV is something that no one should ever have to experience", writes Hilton.

"This home where we have experienced so many fine memories. Where Phoenix took her first steps and where we hoped for a lifetime of memories with London".

Supporting others

Paris Hilton writes further that she is thinking of all those who have been affected by the fires, and that she will donate money to organizations that will support those affected.

Even Swedish author and podcaster Sigge Eklund's house in Pacific Palisades has burned down. He and his family were evacuated to a hotel in Santa Monica on Wednesday morning, where they followed the fire's progress online.

One is shocked, everything we own has burned up, says Eklund to Expressen.

Even actor Billy Crystal and his wife Janice have lost their home in the Pacific Palisades area, reports Hollywood Reporter.

Full of love

"Janice and I have lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love", writes the actor in a statement.

"Words cannot describe the enormous devastation we are witnessing and experiencing. Our hearts ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy".

According to Hollywood Reporter, celebrities such as Mandy Moore, Diane Warren, and James Woods have also lost their homes in the flames.
