The 69-year-old man who is suspected of being the mastermind behind the heist is sentenced to eight years in prison, five of which are conditional. He must also pay a fine of approximately 55,000 kronor, reports BFMTV.
The other seven are sentenced to up to seven years in prison plus fines. All are sentenced to conditional imprisonment, either in full or in part. Moreover, they have already been imprisoned for so long that they will not spend more time behind bars.
A total of ten people were prosecuted. Two men, who are suspected of providing the robbers with information about the victim, are acquitted.

According to the prosecutors, the reality star was robbed of jewelry worth ten million dollars. Two of the suspected robbers have since passed away, but ten people were prosecuted for the robbery, most of them in their 60-70s.
Given the robbers' high age, they have been referred to as the "Grandfather Gang" in French media. Eight of the suspects have denied any wrongdoing.
Yunice Abbas is one of two defendants who have admitted their involvement and is sentenced to seven years, five of which are conditional. He spoke on the last day of the trial.
I can only say that I regret my involvement. I am sorry for what I have done, he said.
