Two parents in Västerbotten planned to marry off their minor daughter. They have now been convicted of conspiracy to child marriage offense, writes Dagens Nyheter.
According to the district court, honor was one of the motives for marrying off the girl. The parents are sentenced to one year in prison each.
Their plan was that the girl, who is now 13 years old, would marry a 17-year-old boy in another EU country, reports P4 Västerbotten.
