The author Pär Hansson and the poet Johan Jönson are this year's Swedish recipients of the Dobloug Prize from the Swedish Academy. The prize is awarded "for the support of Swedish and Norwegian literature as well as literary historical research", and is 200,000 kronor per awardee. The prize has been awarded since 1951.
This year's Norwegian prize winners are the poet Ingrid Storholmen and the playwright Arne Lygre.
Hansson was nominated for the August Prize in 2023 for his novel "Spindelbjörken", Jönson has, in addition to his poetry, written play texts for the independent theatre group Teatermaskinen.
