The Danish-Swedish politician and provocateur Rasmus Paludan has burned a Koran outside the Turkish embassy in Copenhagen, as shown in a video on X.

On Friday, the Danish police announced that Paludan, based on a "concrete assessment", is prohibited from demonstrating in Copenhagen for the next 24 hours. Paludan is now choosing to defy this.

The solution is not to tell the Copenhagen police that you're holding a protest, says Paludan in the video, and adds that the action is a way to honor the murdered Koran burner Salwan Momika.

Paludan has stated that after Momika's murder in Södertälje, he was contacted by PET, the Danish equivalent of Säpo. Like Momika, he has on several occasions burned copies of the Koran in public places.
