Miami played a draw, 2–2, with Brazilian Palmeiras in the Club World Championship and is now clear for the round of 16. There awaits Paris Saint-Germain – which means that Lionel Messi will be faced against his old club.

Few had probably expected that Miami, who were invited to the club team World Championship via a wild card, would make it past the group stage. But after going undefeated through the group, they now face Champions League winner PSG.

We are talking about the Champions League winner. We know their players and their coach. He (Luis Enrique) is the best coach in the world, says Miami's Jordi Alba, formerly in Barcelona, according to AFP.

Javier Mascherano, coach for Miami, did not hold back after the advancement.

This is a historic evening for MLS (the American league, ed. note). We are one of the 16 best teams in the world. The entire MLS must be proud of Miami.

The round of 16 match between Paris SG and Miami will be played on Sunday, 18.00, Swedish time.
