The incident occurred at the end of March. Two municipal officials entered the office of the chairman of the municipal board, Christoffer Wallin (SD), placed a stuffed bird inside and painted a moustache on a painting of Jimmie Åkesson.
Both have admitted the act but say it was intended as a joke. They are now being dismissed. City manager Katrin Siverby is taking the situation seriously.
"If you joke or include informal elements, it must never be perceived as offensive, exclusionary or an attack on someone's role, mission or integrity," she told the newspaper.
