"The paint was probably dropped from a drone," the embassy writes in a report that SVT has seen.
The incident occurred last week. The paint was discovered on the morning of October 24 in front of the residence.
The embassy has informed the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Several similar attacks have been carried out against the Russian embassy in Stockholm.
