The two-room apartment was rented out without the property owner's permission, so the property owner wanted the person who rented it to split the payments and disguise them.
Among other things, she wanted the payments to be noted as “sofa,” “Blocket,” and “rent a car.” The property owner also wanted to receive the payments via bank transfers, cash, and Swish, and sometimes the property owner's mother would receive the payments instead.
The person who rented the apartment under a sublease will receive money back for the 13 months she lived in the apartment, according to the rent board's decision. However, the decision can be appealed.
