It was a highly dramatic resolution when the top met the bottom in Saturday night's late football match at the Emirates Stadium in London.
Wolves looked to have snuffed out the league leaders when Tolu Arokodare headed home a 1-1 draw in the 90th minute, an equaliser that shocked Arsenal, who had earlier taken the lead in the 70th minute after Bukayo Saka's corner had hit the post and the shoulder of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
Viktor Gyökeres started in attack but was replaced by Gabriel Jesus with around ten minutes remaining. The Brazilian recently returned from a cruciate ligament injury and is now making his first Premier League appearance of the season.
In the 94th minute, a cross was made towards Jesus, but instead Wolves defender Yerson Mosquera reached the ball and headed it into his own goal.
The 2-1 goal gave Arsenal three points and continued command at the top of the table, regardless of what second-place Manchester City does on Sunday away against Crystal Palace.
