Israel is reported to have launched attacks, among other things, in Jabalia, Dayr al-Balah and al-Mawasi. The latter has been designated by Israel as a so-called "security zone" in the war.
Many of the dead are reported, according to hospital sources, to be children.
This is the fourth day in a row with extensive Israeli attacks. Israel says it has launched the "first phase" of a new major offensive against the Gaza Strip.
According to a leak to the British Sunday Times, Israel is planning to divide Gaza into three separate districts, cut off from each other by large Israeli-occupied areas. Gazans are to be prohibited from passing through areas under military control.
