It is a grey day in Oslo on the final day of the high-profile case. The focus of the finale is the prosecutor's request for a prison sentence of more than seven years for Borg Høiby, alleging he raped, assaulted and molested several women.

The defense instead says that Borg Høiby, who is the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, is guilty only of some of the lesser charges. Much of the day is expected to be spent on lawyer Petar Sekulic's arguments on this, writes the news agency NTB.

Sekulic began by explaining in court that the intense media attention has been stressful and "has exceeded everything one could have feared in advance". It has also affected relatives, which in Borg Høiby's case includes his mother, Mette-Marit, and her husband, Crown Prince Haakon.

"It really torments him - what they were subjected to during this case," says Sekulic according to Dagbladet.

The so-called 'bonus prince' has admitted some of the charges, and is therefore expected to be prepared to pay compensation to the women, among other things. This afternoon, his other lawyer, Ellen Holager Andenæs, is expected to argue for as lenient a sentence as possible.
