Over 6,000 election appeals filed after suspected fraud reports in Dalarna

On Wednesday afternoon, there were more than 5,000 cases in the Election Review Board's inbox that had not yet been registered.

I think we are at just under 900 registered appeals, says Emma Hellman, head of the secretariat at the Election Review Board, to TT.

The number of appeals is expected to increase because it is possible to appeal the parliamentary election until September 29.

Emma Hellman says many appeals concern the suspected cheating in Dalarna, but it is not yet possible to say how many.

To handle the large number of appeals, the Election Review Board needs to bring in extra staff from the parliamentary administration, reports TV4 Nyheterna.
