Over 6,000 confirmed dead after Venezuela earthquakes

Six weeks after the twin earthquakes in Venezuela, the death toll continues to rise. 6,125 people have now been confirmed dead.

Almost 200 buildings collapsed in the earthquake on June 24. The magnitudes of the quakes were measured at 7.2 and 7.5, respectively.

According to the governor of the worst-hit state, La Guaira, 1,400 people are still missing.
