Bualoi moved in over the country on Sunday and brought with it heavy rainfall that caused flooding and landslides. The capital Hanoi was flooded, over 200,000 homes were damaged and roads and arable land were destroyed.
The Ministry of the Environment estimates that Bualoi has caused damage corresponding to 5.5 billion kronor.
At least 51 people have lost their lives and 14 are missing, according to the department's information on Friday.
