The plane passed over Stockholm Castle at 12:50 p.m. According to the Armed Forces, around 50 planes were to take part in what is described as a historically large flyover over Stockholm.
The flyover consisted of several formations of JAS Gripen fighter jets, transport aircraft, helicopters and "a large formation with historic aircraft", according to a press release from the Defence Ministry.
