Over 30 people have been killed in several separate attacks in Benue state in central Nigeria in recent days, according to Ormin Torsar Victor, representative of the local government in the affected area.
According to Victor, the attacks targeted three villages between Friday and Sunday.
The reason behind the violence has not been established, but the region has long been plagued by conflicts between nomadic livestock farmers and farmers.
