At least 49 people have been killed by Israeli attacks during Friday evening and Saturday morning, according to healthcare personnel.
The attacks have, among other things, taken place at a sports arena where displaced Palestinians have sought shelter and against multi-family houses in Gaza City, as well as a tent camp in the al-Mawasi area, which Israel previously designated as a safe zone.
The attacks have occurred at the same time as the President of the USA, Donald Trump, has claimed that a ceasefire may be possible within a week.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the mediating country Qatar has also stated that the negotiations have gained momentum after Israel's ceasefire with Iran.
