Israeli forces have allegedly opened fire on people waiting for aid at the so-called Netzarimcorridor, which separates southern and northern Gaza Strip.
We transported at least 31 martyrs and around 200 injured as a result of Israeli tank and drone fire on thousands of residents on their way to receive food from the American aid center, says the spokesperson for the civil defense, Mahmud Bassal, to AFP.
Israel has not commented on the reports.
We risked our lives for a little humanitarian aid, but were attacked and had to return without food, says eyewitness Jaber al-Hawjeri to Al Jazeera and adds:
There were victims everywhere.
In recent weeks, the Israeli-American organization GHF's food distributions in Gaza have been accompanied by reports of bloody attacks on those seeking aid. The chaotic distributions have repeatedly been put on hold due to the violence.
