The death toll in Ternopil is rising after Russia's attack on the city. 31 people are reported dead according to the emergency services.

As rescue efforts continue, more bodies are being found in the rubble. Of the 31 killed in the attack on Wednesday night, six were children. Another 94 people were injured, including 18 children, according to AFP.

A dozen people are still missing and local police say the search operation is continuing.

The attack carried out on two apartment buildings is one of the worst on civilians since Russia attacked Ukraine in February 2022.
