Raids have been carried out in Turkey, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Belgium.
We seized assets worth approximately 13 billion lira (3.3 billion kronor), says Yerlikaya at a press conference, according to Turkish media.
Among the seizures are hundreds of properties, vehicles, company assets, and bank accounts.
The number of detainees exceeds 230, with the vast majority in Turkey. In addition to the five directly involved countries, police contacts have also been made with France, the United Kingdom, and several other states, says Yerlikaya. It is unclear whether Sweden is among them.
The network is called Orkinoks-Bulut, and is described by the minister as "a gigantic criminal structure on an international scale". Among the charges expected are drug smuggling and money laundering.
