The street, called Trump Avenue, is located in the capital, Ottawa, in an area where many of the streets bear names related to Trump's hometown of New York.
On Wednesday, the Ottawa local government voted unanimously to rename the street.
"I don't like the idea of something in our city being named after Donald Trump, who has shown hostility towards Canada," said Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe.
Trump has angered many Canadians by imposing high tariffs on the country, and also renamed Lake Ontario, which lies on the border between the countries, the Lake of the Americas.
The lake shares its name with the Canadian province of Ontario.
It is unclear what the street's new name will be.
