Swedish Noah Östlund scored two early goals as Buffalo took a 5-3 road victory over Nashville in tonight's NHL game.

Östlund, 21, and Finnish teammate Konsta Helenius, 19 - who scored one goal and assisted on Östlund's two - played a large part in the victory.

- They may not have been the most difficult goals I've scored, but they mean a lot, Östlund told reporters after the match.

Just over eight minutes into the match, Östlund scored his first goal, assisted by Helenius and Swedish defender Rasmus Dahlin. Less than four minutes later, Östlund had the pleasure of making it 2-0.

Despite the defeat, Nashville's Filip Forsberg put in a fine performance in tonight's game. He was involved in all of the team's goals with two assists and put the puck in the net to make it 2-4.
