The reason is that the editing has taken a long time, and that Östlund wants to be able to hold additional test screenings.
"There is an element in the film that I have to try many times to know how to handle," he tells DN.
There is no new timetable for when the film will be completed.
Kirsten Dunst, Daniel Brühl and Keanu Reeves star in the film, which is Östlund's sequel to the satire "Triangle of Sadness", which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 2023 and was nominated for an Oscar. The director's "The Square" also won the Palme d'Or in 2017.
