Östersunds FK Secures Superettan Spot with Financial Boost

The capital injection comes from both new investments and the conversion of previous loans. Private individuals and entrepreneurs are buying a larger share of Östersunds FK Elite Football AB, according to the club.

"This is an incredible relief – and a big step for the club. We are both grateful and humble towards the trust that has been shown", says Bengt Olofsson, chairman of ÖFK.

Östersund will face Trelleborg away in the premiere of Superettan on Sunday.

"We still have a lot of work left, but this gives us the opportunity to start building up ÖFK again – in a stable and responsible manner. Together with partners and supporters, we will create something long-term", says Olofsson.
