"Ted Gärdestad's 'Himlen är oskyldigt blå' is one of the best Swedish songs I've heard. It gave birth to the love of blue-eyed soul in me even as a brown-eyed teenager," says Linnros in a press release.
According to SVT, the artist's interpretation will be something the audience "has never seen before."
Ted Gärdestad participated in Melodifestivalen four times - winning in 1979 with "Satellit" - and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020. However, "Himlen är oskyldigt blå" was not one of the songs he competed with; it was first released in English in 1978 and then in Swedish in 1993.
