The Japanese city of Osaka has received an unusual donation - 21 kilograms of gold to fix the city's sewage system.

"I just feel gratitude," Mayor Hideyuki Yokoyama said during a press conference on Thursday, the BBC reports.

It was already in November that the city received 21 kilograms of gold bars, worth just under 33 million kronor. The donation comes from an anonymous citizen and will go toward renovating the aging sewage system.
