Nilsson takes over after Patrik Haginge who has had the temporary responsibility during the second half of the spring after Streten Kenic left the club. Haginge now takes a step back and becomes assistant coach.
"In Bernhard, we get a man with solid experience and we get a coach who is well acquainted with both the club and the city, which is very useful in this situation", says ÖSK's sports manager Enes Ahmetovic to the club's website.
In ÖSK, Nilsson has previously also had roles in the academy as head coach for several age groups as well as coordinator between youth and senior activities.
With four recorded points, Örebro is on the relegation spot in Superettan. The team has as much as 13 points up to safe ground.
