The security zone established in Örebro over two weeks ago is extended by another week, the police announce on their website.

The police made the decision to introduce the zone in connection with a conflict between groups in the areas flaring up, which, among other things, has resulted in an apartment explosion. The purpose is to prevent further serious gang-related crimes.

The police write that they have deprived of liberty a number of persons with links to the current conflicts during the first two weeks.

The zone stretches over the areas Varberga and Oxhagen and will be in place until June 11.
