Classic club Örebro is in a bad position against Hammarby's "second team" Hammarby TFF. In the qualifiers for the Super League, HTFF won the first match 1–0.

The only goal of the match was scored by HTFF's Odera Samuel Onuchukwu midway through the second half.

Örebro had a tough night from start to finish in their quest to stay in Swedish elite football. And now things are looking bad for the classic club, which has not played in the Swedish league system's third division in 85 years, writes Aftonbladet.

"Quite a weak effort from our side. We still have some good chances to score, but generally a weak effort," Örebro's captain Karl Holmberg told Nerikes Allehanda after the match.

Before the match, the focus has mainly been on the fact that HTFF – which is an abbreviation for Hammarby Talent Football Association – is a development team for the Allsvenskan second-placed Hammarby.

What happens if Hammarby qualifies down from the Allsvenskan and HTFF qualifies up from the Superettan? Then Hammarby would technically face each other in a qualifying game, said Axel Fägerhall, group manager for the Swedish Football Association's competition group, to DN before the match.

The return match will be played on Sunday in Örebro.
