Örebro District Court rules Anders Eklund will remain in prison

Anders Eklund, who is serving a life sentence for the murders of Engla Höglund and Pernilla Hellgren, will not have his sentence time-limited, the Örebro District Court has decided, SVT Dalarna reports.

There is still a "concrete and significant risk" that he will relapse into serious crime, the court wrote in its decision, according to SVT.

Anders Eklund, who has changed his last name, was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2008 for the murder of ten-year-old Engla Höglund in Stjärnsund in Dalarna, and for the murder of 31-year-old Pernilla Hellgren outside Falun in June 2000.
