Market expectations were exceeded in terms of both earnings per share and revenue, but perhaps of particular interest to investors are the figures for the company's cloud services.

Cloud infrastructure sales during the quarter increased by 121 percent compared with the same period last year, to $7.4 billion - equivalent to SEK 70 billion.

This suggests that the company's large investments in AI data centres have paid off.

Approximately 30 minutes after the stock market closed, Oracle's stock had risen by just over six percent in after-hours trading.
