It's tech time on the New York Stock Exchange. Just a week ago, OpenAI competitor Anthropic, which is behind the AI tool Claude, also filed a confidential application.
And in just a few days, on June 12, Elon Musk's company SpaceX is expected to debut on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
The Wall Street Journal reported in May that OpenAI's goal was to go public in September.
CNBC now reports that the target is the fourth quarter, although OpenAI itself has not given a specific date.
Once the stock market debut is complete, it could be one of the largest ever, CNBC notes. OpenAI was valued in March at the equivalent of just over 8,000 billion kronor.
