Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI and the company behind ChatGPT, said at an internal meeting that he is considering slowing the pace of development of the increasingly advanced AI technology. He also hopes to bring other AI companies on board.
AI researcher Jacob Coxon, who recently quit Anthropic in protest and previously also worked at competitor OpenAI, believes that neither of the two AI giants is acting responsibly.
“Those building AI seriously believe it could kill us all before the end of the decade,” he recently wrote on X.
