Open for comeback - Luis Suárez snubbed from Uruguay World Cup squad

Luis Suárez had hoped to play one last World Cup, but that won't happen. When Uruguay's national coach, Marcelo Bielsa, named his squad for the tournament, the striker was not included.

Luis Suárez, who has previously played for Barcelona and Liverpool, was likely hoping to get a chance to play in the World Cup this summer.

But the veteran was snubbed by Uruguayan national team coach Marcelo Bielsa. When Bielsa named the squad, the 39-year-old was not included.

Suárez has not played for the national team for some time, but earlier in May he opened up about making a comeback to the national team.

Uruguay play in Group H and face Cape Verde, Spain and Saudi Arabia.
