Oil production will increase next month, according to the oil cartel Opec+, led by Saudi Arabia and Russia.

The cartel has "in principle" decided on the increase, which means that the oil producers emphasize their new ambition to primarily increase their market shares, not keep prices up, reports the news agency Bloomberg.

Opec+ expects to increase production by 137,000 barrels per day from October. This means that the cartel will produce 1.7 million oil barrels per day.
