OPEC+ countries agree to increase oil production by 206,000 barrels per day in April after Iran attack

The decision was made at a meeting on Sunday. It comes after the US and Israel's attack on Iran on Saturday, which is feared to lead to major disruptions in oil supplies and to rapidly rising oil prices.

OPEC-plus countries increased production by 137,000 barrels per month during the fourth quarter of last year, but have since refrained from making decisions on further increases.
