According to the proposal, it will still be allowed to pay for pre-recorded material. However, the government wants to ban the possibility of influencing the content - such as paying someone to perform a sexual act.
Onlyfans' communications director Sue Beeby is now requesting meetings with Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer and Minister for Gender Equality Nina Larsson (L) to clarify a number of questions. She also points out that Onlyfans contributes to the Swedish state treasury every year.
"In Sweden, Onlyfans pays twelve million dollars in taxes every year, while the platform gives individual creators - many of them women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and marginalized entrepreneurs - the opportunity to support themselves independently", she writes according to SvD.
