A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital during the night leading up to Friday after an apartment fire in Sundbyberg. The fire is believed to have been caused by a battery of some kind.
The alarm came in at around 3 am and when the rescue service arrived at the scene, the apartment was heavily ablaze.
He is said to have suffered burns, but it is unclear whether he has life-threatening injuries, says Niklas Berglund, duty officer at the Stockholm police.
Another person was in the residence.
It may be that the other person also needed hospital care, I cannot answer that at present, says Nicklas Berglund.
By 4 am, the fire had been extinguished.
