According to an AFP correspondent on site, rescue personnel were working on the partially bombed-out vehicle, which was standing by the side of the road.
"The attack by the Israeli enemy on a vehicle on al-Khardali road killed one person," says the health department in a statement.
Despite the fact that Israel and the Iran-backed Shia militia Hizbollah entered into a ceasefire in November last year, Israel has continued to repeatedly bomb targets in Lebanon, mainly in the southern parts but also in the capital Beirut. Israel also has several outposts remaining in southern Lebanon, in contravention of the agreement.
On Thursday, the Lebanese military stated that Israel had breached the ceasefire 4,500 times.
