It has probably spread from one apartment to another. One person has been taken away by ambulance to the hospital, says Daniel Kaissidis, officer in charge at the rescue service.
A handful of people who inhaled smoke received care from ambulance personnel on site, according to police.
The alarm about the fire came at 22.20 on Sunday. Police, ambulance, and rescue service were sent there.
By 23 o'clock, the fires in the apartments were extinguished.
The rescue personnel are now going through all apartments to see if we need to evacuate or assist other affected, says Daniel Kaissidis.
He says that when the rescue service arrived at the scene, many of the residents had already left the property.
The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into general public destruction.
Apartment Fire in Vårby Sends One to Hospital
There has been a fire in two apartments in a multi-family house in Vårby in Huddinge, south of Stockholm.
