Norwegian rescue services fear one person has died after the avalanche that occurred in Beisfjord in Narvik municipality on Friday. A French citizen is missing after the incident.
According to the police, it is still too dangerous to search the area, and the operation is now entering a new phase in which they are searching for a person feared dead.
Three people were hit by the avalanche on Friday afternoon; two of them were rescued by helicopter.
