The police were alerted just before midnight on Friday that a woman in her 60s had been found dead in a home.
Because the circumstances surrounding the death are unclear, the incident is being classified as murder. One person was arrested and the scene was cordoned off for investigation, the police write on their website.
According to Sydsvenskan, the suspect is a man in his 60s who was in the home during the evening and had called the police himself.
He was later arrested as a 'reasonable suspect' - a lower level of suspicion - for murder, the Prosecution Authority's press service told TT.
