A small single-engine aircraft is reported to have lost altitude and crashed into the roof of a residential building in Ganderkesee at around 11 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The cause of the incident is being investigated by police and the aircraft will be recovered during the day, German NDR reports. A man has been found dead and another passenger is being sought by police.
The family living in the house was not in the building at the time of the accident.
