The alarm about the accident came at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
Two people were involved in the accident. One of them was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police do not know exactly how the cars collided.
One of the people was awake and able to talk after the accident, but no one has been charged with a crime, says police spokesman Johnny Gustavsson.
Later in the evening, police announced that the injured person's life could not be saved.
